Hi all french speaking,

i'm pretty new in the world of Linux / Android but Windows is no issue. Coming out of the IT-world myself (embedded systems), lately i'm more interested in beer-brewing, sailing and mechanical clock restoration. However, for navigation, tablets are far less expensive than dedicated nautical plotters and especially nautical charts for Android costs are a fraction of the dedicated versions. Thus started to experiment with a wonderfull iFive MX-3G tablet!!

With the help of the Chinese iFive forum, i did manage to gain some experience (as here at about the same time), how to update the firmware and get the tablet rooted.

Looking forward in sharing more knowledge with you all.

Note: untill today, the iFive quality is excellent and all functions including Wifi, GPS, 3G, OTG etc are operational. Your welcome's are read and do encourage me to give this forum a bit international flavour as nothing could be found on the iFive in english. Thus this text will possibly allow search engines route other foreigners to this forum as well.
